When our friends at Raaka Chocolate challenged us to create a nut-free chocolate to sell at their factory, we immediately thought of one of our favorite vegan ingredients, tahini. After some delicious experimentation, we developed two recipes filled with creamy tahini centers.
Coconut Milk Chocolate & Cinnamon-Tahini Filling
Organic tahini is whipped with true Ceylon cinnamon and a pinch of pink Himalayan salt to create an exotically fragrant filling encased in creamy chocolate with a hint of coconut.
79% Dark Chocolate & Coconut Sugar Tahini Filling (Refined Sugar-Free)
We blend organic tahini with powdered vanilla bean, unrefined coconut sugar, and a pinch of pink Himalayan salt to create a lightly sweetened halva-like center. Our 79% dark chocolate is made with extra cocoa butter and sweetened with yacon root powder to deliver a creamy chocolate flavor without the need for refined sugars.
Each chocolate is slightly larger than 1/2 ounce (16 grams), enough to enjoy in 4-5 luxurious bites.
